The first in this series, I created this piece in the fall of 2021. I had been itching to move beyond the tabletop still life scenes from the past year, and this piece was an exploration into the fantastical world of tropical fruits, birds, and flowers, inspired by the work of 19th century Austrian painter, Johann Knapp.

Into the Tropics, No. 1 is offered as part of a limited edition, in two sizes:

32”x48”(edition of 5)

40”x60”(edition of 5 + 1 Artist Proof)

Materials/proof of authenticity: This piece is printed on archival Epson Hot Press 100% Cotton Rag paper. Each print comes signed and numbered on the back, and includes a certificate of authenticity from the artist. This substrate is highly susceptible to oils from our skin; handling with care prior to framing is recommended.
