Ode to Dahlias
During peak dahlia season this October, I was lucky enough to grab a few buckets of every kind of dahlia imaginable from 3 Porch Farm. I had so many dahlias to work with that I struggled to choose which ones to photograph (champagne problems!). In the end, I felt that the best way to honor the beauty they grew this season was to include as many flowers as I could, some beginning to curl and shed petals, some a little worse for wear after three days of working with them, all beautiful. This piece was the result.
